internet

so we finally have internet at our house, my sister moved in and decided she wanted it and would pay for it so whoopee!! Just got home from work and ate dinner and cleaned a little and thought id update a bit before i went to bed.

Work is going about the same. Im still at the daycare center and now whitney works there too which is awesome. I am in the younger school age class which is the 5-8 yr olds. Its a pretty good class, usually between 10-15 kids. Its the summer program so its nota s focused on the learning side of things but more focused on fun and activities and all of that. Anyway its going well.

My sister is finally here, been here about 2 weeks or so and so far it is going exceptionally well. We really enjoy having her around and obviously it is nice to have an extra pair of hands around.

we are just about finished with our back patio that we layed down. I will take some pics tomorrow and put them on.

Mccarthy is going on 13 weeks and is getting huge. He is over 15 pounds now. He smield and laughs more everyday and although this will only make sense to some of you he laughs just like I did when i was little, he throws his head back and laughs at the sky. Although when he was bron he looked just like his mother he is looking more and more like- get ready for it- my dad, bummer i know. But everyday i see it more and more and other people have noticed it too. So anyway he may end up looking like a lyons after all.

Going to the beach this weekend with a girl from our work, Ginny, and her husband, Peter, and child, Xander. Xander is only like 10 months old so there kinda in the same boat as jordan and i which is nice. We have alot fo fun with them and feel comfortable around them so thats awesome.

Anyway i dont have much else to say except that il put up pics and videos of the backyard and McCarthy tomorrow.

love

love you.....

so its about to be the end to another glorious day and i decided I would take a second to update yall on whatsup out here in maryland.  Lots has happened since our last post.

Mac
First of all Mac is doing amazingly well.  hes still feeding like a champ and is smiling and more alert each day.  Hes starting to look more like the lyons side but youd still never mistake him to be Jordans son.  Hes rolled over liek 3 or 4 times since weve been home which proves that the one time incident in Illinois was no fluke, he is indeed a genius and scientific wonder.  Tomorrow Jordan is venturing back to work, although for her first week she wont be with any kids, instead focusing on filing and other officey type things for julie and shawntel.

Jordan
As stated above she is beginning work tomorrow.  She is doing awesome and she had her 8 week checkup today and the doctor was impressed with how well she is doing.  She hears just about everyday that it doesnt look like shes had a kid, which is true, but nevertheless its good for her to hear it.  Shes loving being a mom and shopping for Mac and is even just about done with the thank you notes from the illinois shower.  what an amazing woman

work
so were both still at the day care center, I will begin working at Sandy cove camp, the place i worked at last summer, in the middle of June.  Work is going ok though, im trying hard to stop being so negative all the time, and just to enjoy it while im there.  I still work 4 ten hour days with Monday off and lately ive been working with my pastor on Mondays to earn some extra dough.

House
Jordan and her mom just did a ton of yardwork and landscaping last weekend and it looks so awesome.  we decided any extra money we have this summer we want to spend on outdoor stuff for at home (like patio blocks, patio furniture, fire pit, croquet set etc.)  Just cause we dont own the house doesnt mean we cant make it our own and look good, itll just all be stuff we can take with us when we move.

Jit the pit (aka whitney)
so for those of you who dont know I used my highly affective persuasive skills to convince my sister that she needs to move tot he east coast.  In fact, in about a month she will be moving out here to live with us and work at the center.  Itll be tough to get a routine worked out, i know, were not going into it blind, but at the same time itll be great to have my best friend back and i know that Jordan has alwasy wanted  a sister her age to do stuff with so thatll be awesome too.

Umm I think thats about it for right now, pray for me if yall think of it, with schoool stuff and all that that it all gets worked out.

tomorrow il add some pics of mac

something witty

hello family.  so im sorry to disappoint yall but i still dont have nay new pictures.  We cant find the freaking cord to hook the camera up to the computer.  So tomorrow i will take the camera to work with me and use moms card reader to put some on.

This weekend has been alot of fun.  Jordan and Mac and I all went to church today.  It was the first time for mac so that was cool.  He slept all the way until the end and then J jad to take him in back and feed him.  We gave him his first bottle today and he took it without fussing a bit.  So that was awesome, J is goign to start pumping during the day and then il be able to take one of the night feedings which will help her out a ton.

We are both so stinking excited to come out to Illinois, we are so pumped to see everyone and get to introduce mac to everybody.  Ok well im gonna go to bed now but il update tomorrow with pictures i promise.  Mac has changed so much, his face is rounding out and he is slowly looking more and more like me, haha.  ok im out

tired....

so i realize its terribly cliche for the father of a newborn to say hes too tired to post, but frankly my dear, i dont give a damn.

its been a very long week and i really am so tired im quickly becoming my father in that i cant stay awake for anything over the halfway point of a movie.  Quite literally the turning point, no matter how exciting acts as an instant sedative and im out.  So im going to go to bed right now and post more tomorrow, along with pics because right now i cant find our card reader so i cant put any new pics on, however i can put some older ones of my mom and dad while they were here.

McCarthy Isaiah Lyons

So last night Jordan had an appointment to get a C section done and the doctor told us that her fluid level was exceptionally low and that we needed to go to the hospital for further review. We got to the hospital and the staff informed us that due to the low ammount of fluid and given Jordans bicarnate uterus, they recomended doing a C-section that night. So we were moved toa preparation room and told that it would be between 8 and 12 hrs from then. An hour and a half later they told us that it was bumped up due to a crowded hospital that night and we would more likely be going in about 2 hrs. THEN the doctor came practically running into the room and told us that it had been moved up again and would be right then. After I regained consciousness, having passed out from surprise and nervousness, I was suited up in my space paintball suit and booties and rushwed into the O.R. Joran did amazingly, she didnt feel a thing and even laughed a few times during the procedure at the look on my face. I was scared out of my mind. Mac was born at 8:23 and im proud to say taht as his first act on earth, he chose to urinate all down the gown of one of the nurses. ITo say i was proud would be a durastic understatement. Anyway he weighed 6 lbs 12 oz and was 18 1/2 inches long. It is now friday and both he and Jordan are doing amazingly well, they wil have to remain in the hospital for at least another 2 days but as far as everything is goign right now it is looking like he will not need to stay there any longer than that.

anyway who wants to call can call my cell at 13097068349

please keep praying, much love

baby update

I dont think ive written about the baby in a while and now seems as good a time as any.
We had a checkup this last monday and we found out that the baby is still sitting breech but because of jordans uterus (which is bicornate, meaning its heart shape with a wall down the middle, giving the baby half the room it needs) the doctors dont think he will have enough room to turn himself right. Also her amniotic fluid levels are low and so the doctor scheduled another checkup and sonogram for next week (tuesday) and if the levels arent up at all then they will possibly have to schedule an emergency C-Section. So i could possibly be a dad in 4 days, scary.

Anyway Jordan is consistently more sore than she has been at any other point in her pregnancy. Shes really ok with the idea of a C-section, the doctor told us from day one that with her condition it was a strong possibility. So anyway if everyone could pray for that, that everything would go smoothly and according to Gods will.

Im really tired today, had a long frustrating day yesterday but im ok now. We bought a used saturn from a local dealership, low miles, good mpg all that, so thats good. Now i have a car payment for the first time in my life. Crazy. So i should probably go back to work. Il talk to yall later.

quote from last nights bible study
"Trials and hardships are never fun or easy but they ALWAYS increase our trust in God" i liked that

woah slow down there

So yesterday Jordan had her 33 week checkup. For those of you who dotn know, 37 weeks is considered "full term" and so were getting down to the wire. We found out that Mac is still sitting breech and he has about ZERO room to move around in there. Because of this the doctor told jordan to drink as much water as she could (to increase the fluid in the womb thus giving mac more space) and to come back in this coming tuesday so we can take another look. If, however, the water level hasnt changed and Mac still has no room to turn himself upside down then the doctor said we will have to schedule a C-Section. She figured it would probably be April 16-17 but if the situation looks really bad then we may even have it sooner. Jordan talked to a woman at our work who was int hat same situation and when she went in for her checkup a week later they had to do the C-section then!!! So i could feasibly be a dad next week, crazy.

Anyway pray for us and the baby and im sure everything will be fine.

In other news I watched reign over me last night (with adam sandler and Don Cheadle), flippin amazing movie!! highly reccomend it

holy crow

so how good is our God, I just checked ourt bank balance and we just now got in our tax refund right when we most desperately needed it. And also it was for 400 dollars more than what it was supposed to be for!!!!

Amazingness

new post below btw

just one of those weeks

Hello family and friends. Its about 10:30 on monday morning and ive been awake for about 4 hrs or so. Jordan and I's schedule at the center has changed from five 8 hr days to four 10 hr days so we now have every monday off. I gotta say so far im liking it alot, having monday off makes sunday so much calmer and more fun.

So jordan and I have been in our new house for a few weeks now and its going really well so far. The house is awesome and everything seems to be going pretty good. We had our baby showers last weekend and got enough clothes and toys for a house full of children so we are pretty thankful and overwhelmed by everyones generosity. My mom was in town for the weekend and it was alot of fun getting to see her. We didnt get to do as much as I would have liked to do because of the showers but thats ok.

Last week I worked 2 days with my pastor because he runs his own business on the side and needed some help (odds and ends jobs). Anyway that was alot of fun, he builds storage sheds and such for private contractors and it was nice working outside and getting dirty as awkward and cliche as that sounds. The job search continues for the moment although im not having any luck. I like working with jordan everyday but not having any other male coworkers, combined with the small amount of pay is starting to ware on me.

So last week our Buick died and we had to take it in. A situation like this is never exciting but it was even less so at this time as I had just taken it in the week before and payed 170 to get the electrical system fixed and a new battery. Anyway we found out the transmission is shot and it will cost 1700 to fix it. So pretty bad news but we stil have to jeep so not gonna kill us right? Well yesterday I took the jeep in to get the breaks fixed (which promised to be at least 150) and the guy called me this morning and said that our brake knuckles (whatever those are) need to be replaced and that will run us around 1500. So haha i had to just laugh because its true when they say that "when it rains it pours". Now normally Id be really upset and all "woe is me" right now but i cant help but look at all that ways God has blessed Jordan and I and how silly it would be to complain you know? We have an awesome house, a wonderful marriage, a son on the way, jobs, food, clothes a great dog, 2 loving families, awesome friends and a great homechurch. I really cant see anything in there that would imply that we have something to complain about. So anyway i guess I just want to say that im greatful to God for helping me to keep my eyes on him when I in the past never would have in such a situation.

Anyway today Jordan has a checkup, shes only about a month away from her due date, and so were both getting excited. We had our lamaze class this last weekend, two 8 hr sessions instead of the normal 6 week course. Dang-o I learned and saw alot of things I could have quite happily done without. But nonetheless we both feel more prepared and more excited than ever. We finally finished Macs room so we will have to post some pics of that soon.

Anyway I guess thats about all I have for right now, Jordan and I were considering getting the internet at our house but probably wont now for a bit at least until we get our car situation under control. So anywho have a good one guys.
