McCarthy Isaiah Lyons

So last night Jordan had an appointment to get a C section done and the doctor told us that her fluid level was exceptionally low and that we needed to go to the hospital for further review. We got to the hospital and the staff informed us that due to the low ammount of fluid and given Jordans bicarnate uterus, they recomended doing a C-section that night. So we were moved toa preparation room and told that it would be between 8 and 12 hrs from then. An hour and a half later they told us that it was bumped up due to a crowded hospital that night and we would more likely be going in about 2 hrs. THEN the doctor came practically running into the room and told us that it had been moved up again and would be right then. After I regained consciousness, having passed out from surprise and nervousness, I was suited up in my space paintball suit and booties and rushwed into the O.R. Joran did amazingly, she didnt feel a thing and even laughed a few times during the procedure at the look on my face. I was scared out of my mind. Mac was born at 8:23 and im proud to say taht as his first act on earth, he chose to urinate all down the gown of one of the nurses. ITo say i was proud would be a durastic understatement. Anyway he weighed 6 lbs 12 oz and was 18 1/2 inches long. It is now friday and both he and Jordan are doing amazingly well, they wil have to remain in the hospital for at least another 2 days but as far as everything is goign right now it is looking like he will not need to stay there any longer than that.

anyway who wants to call can call my cell at 13097068349

please keep praying, much love

baby update

I dont think ive written about the baby in a while and now seems as good a time as any.
We had a checkup this last monday and we found out that the baby is still sitting breech but because of jordans uterus (which is bicornate, meaning its heart shape with a wall down the middle, giving the baby half the room it needs) the doctors dont think he will have enough room to turn himself right. Also her amniotic fluid levels are low and so the doctor scheduled another checkup and sonogram for next week (tuesday) and if the levels arent up at all then they will possibly have to schedule an emergency C-Section. So i could possibly be a dad in 4 days, scary.

Anyway Jordan is consistently more sore than she has been at any other point in her pregnancy. Shes really ok with the idea of a C-section, the doctor told us from day one that with her condition it was a strong possibility. So anyway if everyone could pray for that, that everything would go smoothly and according to Gods will.

Im really tired today, had a long frustrating day yesterday but im ok now. We bought a used saturn from a local dealership, low miles, good mpg all that, so thats good. Now i have a car payment for the first time in my life. Crazy. So i should probably go back to work. Il talk to yall later.

quote from last nights bible study
"Trials and hardships are never fun or easy but they ALWAYS increase our trust in God" i liked that

woah slow down there

So yesterday Jordan had her 33 week checkup. For those of you who dotn know, 37 weeks is considered "full term" and so were getting down to the wire. We found out that Mac is still sitting breech and he has about ZERO room to move around in there. Because of this the doctor told jordan to drink as much water as she could (to increase the fluid in the womb thus giving mac more space) and to come back in this coming tuesday so we can take another look. If, however, the water level hasnt changed and Mac still has no room to turn himself upside down then the doctor said we will have to schedule a C-Section. She figured it would probably be April 16-17 but if the situation looks really bad then we may even have it sooner. Jordan talked to a woman at our work who was int hat same situation and when she went in for her checkup a week later they had to do the C-section then!!! So i could feasibly be a dad next week, crazy.

Anyway pray for us and the baby and im sure everything will be fine.

In other news I watched reign over me last night (with adam sandler and Don Cheadle), flippin amazing movie!! highly reccomend it

holy crow

so how good is our God, I just checked ourt bank balance and we just now got in our tax refund right when we most desperately needed it. And also it was for 400 dollars more than what it was supposed to be for!!!!

Amazingness

new post below btw

just one of those weeks

Hello family and friends. Its about 10:30 on monday morning and ive been awake for about 4 hrs or so. Jordan and I's schedule at the center has changed from five 8 hr days to four 10 hr days so we now have every monday off. I gotta say so far im liking it alot, having monday off makes sunday so much calmer and more fun.

So jordan and I have been in our new house for a few weeks now and its going really well so far. The house is awesome and everything seems to be going pretty good. We had our baby showers last weekend and got enough clothes and toys for a house full of children so we are pretty thankful and overwhelmed by everyones generosity. My mom was in town for the weekend and it was alot of fun getting to see her. We didnt get to do as much as I would have liked to do because of the showers but thats ok.

Last week I worked 2 days with my pastor because he runs his own business on the side and needed some help (odds and ends jobs). Anyway that was alot of fun, he builds storage sheds and such for private contractors and it was nice working outside and getting dirty as awkward and cliche as that sounds. The job search continues for the moment although im not having any luck. I like working with jordan everyday but not having any other male coworkers, combined with the small amount of pay is starting to ware on me.

So last week our Buick died and we had to take it in. A situation like this is never exciting but it was even less so at this time as I had just taken it in the week before and payed 170 to get the electrical system fixed and a new battery. Anyway we found out the transmission is shot and it will cost 1700 to fix it. So pretty bad news but we stil have to jeep so not gonna kill us right? Well yesterday I took the jeep in to get the breaks fixed (which promised to be at least 150) and the guy called me this morning and said that our brake knuckles (whatever those are) need to be replaced and that will run us around 1500. So haha i had to just laugh because its true when they say that "when it rains it pours". Now normally Id be really upset and all "woe is me" right now but i cant help but look at all that ways God has blessed Jordan and I and how silly it would be to complain you know? We have an awesome house, a wonderful marriage, a son on the way, jobs, food, clothes a great dog, 2 loving families, awesome friends and a great homechurch. I really cant see anything in there that would imply that we have something to complain about. So anyway i guess I just want to say that im greatful to God for helping me to keep my eyes on him when I in the past never would have in such a situation.

Anyway today Jordan has a checkup, shes only about a month away from her due date, and so were both getting excited. We had our lamaze class this last weekend, two 8 hr sessions instead of the normal 6 week course. Dang-o I learned and saw alot of things I could have quite happily done without. But nonetheless we both feel more prepared and more excited than ever. We finally finished Macs room so we will have to post some pics of that soon.

Anyway I guess thats about all I have for right now, Jordan and I were considering getting the internet at our house but probably wont now for a bit at least until we get our car situation under control. So anywho have a good one guys.
