im still alive

So it has been quite a long time since my last update. A lot has happened since then, let me tell ya. I don’t even know where to begin….
Well school is over. I finished my last final this last Thursday and I believe I did well in all of my classes. I know I got an A in speech class. My last speech was a persuasive speech on why Speech Class is a Dumb Class. It was pretty awesome. I think I got an A n my psych class although I may have got a B +. In Amercian women writers I BOMBED my final. I mean 2 pages of true/false and fill in the blank and I didn’t know a single one. Not a single freakin one. Some times people say they didn’t know anything but they really did know a few but I did NOT KNOW A SINGLE QUESTION!!!! Hahaha seriously it was ridiculous. We’ve had 7 grades in that class and im pretty Sure I got 5 A’s 1 D and 1 F. So I think I should definitely manage a B and maybe even a low A depending on how weighted the final test was. The last class I was in was Materials and Curriculum and I got a A in that too. So I’m done for a semester before I begin at Lancaster Bible, im in the middle of applying there right now and I need to sign up for all the scholarships I can.
Work is going well. We have a Christmas program today (actually in a few hrs) and I have to play the bongos in it for one song and kinda hip-hop dance, yes hip-hop dance, for one of the other songs. So thatll be fun but im kinda nervous. Itll be nice for it to be over. Starting in the new year I will start as full time so I will get free insurance. I work like 37 hrs a week right now but im not technically full time so I have to pay 100 a paycheck to insurance. So it’ll be nice to not have to pay that anymore.
Jordan and I celebrated our 1 year anniversary Friday night. Its not technically until the 27th but I decided to surprise her and take her out early. She had no idea I had anything planned so that made it kinda cool. We went to the Melting Pot, a fondue type restaurant where they make everything and prepare it at your table or whatever. It was really good. We had a cheese fondue with spinach artichoke cheese first. It came with bread chunks, assorted vegetables and apple chunks. That was really good. Then we both had a ceasar salad which were again excellent. Next was the main course. We had a platter of beef, pork, ravioli, shrimp, chicken and lobster tail. We also had literally 10 different dunking sauces as well as two breading materials. So you just decided what you wanted to eat and fondue it for a few minutes and then eat it. Everything was good except the lobster and the chicken. Last was a chocolate fondue. We chose the smore version so it was chocolate and marshmallow sauce with a graham cracker crust and then we had a platter of bananas, strawberries, cheesecake chunks, brownies, apples and rice krispies to dunk in it. Man that was awesome too, probably the best part of the meal. When we got to the restaurant the table had chocolates and balloons on it and half way through the meal I gave Jordan her present. It was a pair of cuddly pajama pants that she wanted and in the pocket was a necklace I bought her. Its really pretty and luckily she loved it a lot. After dinner we went to the mall for an hour before it closed and putzed around a bit. Then we went home.
Which reminds me, we just got a new car, pops old Buick. Its in amazing condition and runs like a beast. So that’s cool cause we will need one when we move up to Lancaster in May.
So I guess the only other real news is that we had our sonogram the other day and found out were having a boy. We got a bunch of great pictures of Mccarthy and so that was exciting. I told the nurse I needed one good pic of my son’s weiner to show to people and she got a great one. Everyone I have shown didn’t believe it was his weiner, but rather his foot or head or the umbilical cord or something. But I assure them that it is and that no he wont be a pornstar. It was all really cool to see, Mac kept playing with his feet and at one point hit himself in the head during the sonogram, proving that he def is my son. Anywho the nurse said that I was the most excited father she had ever seen during a sonogram and I explained I was just proud of my part-elephant son.
Jordan and I have started hanging out with a pastor and his wife of a church around here. There in there early 30’s and their daughter is in our after school program at the church. Anyway they are very cool and we have a lot in common and share a lot of the same interests and all that, so that is exciting. We went to their church today and Liked it a lot and will probably begin attending their regularly.
So this Thursday we leave for Illinois once again and I am very excited to be coming home. You guys will all freak when you see how big Jordans belly has gotten. She really has exploded over the past few weeks and is excited to see everyone as well. We finally have all of our Christmas shopping done and are excited to exchange gifts and such.
Anyway I think that’s all I got, so heres Jordan for an update on how she is feeling.
Hey all! Sorry it has been so long since I have had something to put on here. A lot has changed since the last time I wrote on here, so here’s what has changed  First off I’m still at the daycare working fulltime if not more these days. It is getting a little crazy because of Christmas but its still fun. Also earlier this year we had a little guy (Dominic) in my class that was getting pretty bad headaches and he ended up in the hospital and they did a cat scan and found cancer in his brain. This has been a huge ordeal for all of us because the cancer is very advanced and I believe what is called stage 3 cancer. I’m not positive on all the details but that is what I can remember. My great news about this is that he has come back to school this last week! He had surgery not to long ago to remove as much as they could and they did an amazing job. He has a scar on his head but all in all the kids are above and beyond excited for him to be back and so are we! He is doing well but he has a long road ahead of him so please be keeping him in your prayers.
As far as baby updates go…Mac is doing great  he’s a healthy 16 oz. big head in there, and he’s about ten inches from head to heal. We also found out his feel are 3.6 cm! They are huge feet for a little guy! Our sonogram was last Tuesday and wow was it awesome. It was so much fun to actually watch him move and play with his feet and hit himself in the face  He likes to move around a lot however it has not been easy to feel from the outside because he’s still pretty tiny but he’s getting there. I’m not getting sick anymore which has been a great blessing and I have a lot more energy than I have had is the last 4 months. I have no problem eating whatever I can get my hands on and my biggest obstacle these days is bending over and I know that its only the beginning and it won’t be long till Nick has to put my shoes on for me.
Last Wednesday as Nick said we had Wade and Dawn over for dinner. We had a great time talking about God and our churches and how we’re simply looking to worship God not all the other stupid stuff that has sadly become a part of church. We really hit it off with them and we are both looking forward to hanging out with them again soon!
And thankfully last Thursday was our last materials and curriculum class!!! We both passed (obviously) and we are both thankful it is over! I have already signed up for another class for the spring semester called the young child or something like that and it’s basically a psychology class about kids, as if I haven’t had enough classes about children…. We are also going to take a pottery class with my mom just for fun! I’m very excited to be creative 
This last Friday we went out for our anniversary and it was a great surprise! I know Nick has talked about where we went and what kind of stuff we got to eat (which was amazing, personally the chocolate was my favorite), however he did a stinky job in telling you all how wonderful he is and what a beautiful necklace he got me. I think it’s the sparkliest thing I have ever owned in my life, I love it! Trust me you will all get to see it soon  He also got me some great comfy pants because I threatened to steal his 

So anyway that’s about it for us, we will be in Illinois in about 5 days and cant wait to see yall and celebrate Christmas with everyone. Love you guys, have a great week!!

date night

so last night was pretty awesome. First off Jordan was feeling really well yesterday, no sickness, plenty of energy, all that, so that was good. We both worked full days at the center but she got off at 5 and went home. When I got home she met me at the door with my favorite backwoods smoke cigars and told me to go outside and relax for a bit. So I sat on the front porch and smoked a few and just thought for a while. Then Jordan called me inside and she had made one of my favorite meals, pulled pork with rice and bread and we went up to our room where we have our dinner table from our old apartment set up and ate a candlelit dinner with music playing. It was really relaxing and fun to be able to do that again. Anyway after the meal we went and played the game rummikub, which is one of my fav games. We played that for about an hour and then she took me into the living room and she had rented three gamecube multiplayer games from hollywood. So we played monkeyball and mario party 7 for an hour and a half or so. Then it was about 11 and she was pretty beat so we decided to go to bed. Anyway it was a very fun night, and it made me excited to have our own apartment again. So only 2 more days until we come home and we are both getting very excited to say the least.
Seeya all in a few days!!

new week

so Its tuesday and I am sitting in class, already wishing it was friday afternoon. I havent updated in a bit, so im just gonna start at the beginning of my weekend. On friday night jordan and I went to Sandy Cove to have a games night with Matt, Katie, Nate and Evey (nate was my boss at SC over the summer). Anyway it was alot of fun. We ate chinese food and played a board game I had never played before called quelf. For those of you who havent played it, let me tell you it is quite amazing, probably one of the funniest games ive ever played. So we did that for a few hours and then went back to Katie and Matts place for some chill out time. Katie went to bed and matt and jordan and I stayed up for another hour or so talking.
We stayed the night and the next morning we woke up and katie had made us pancakes and then we had to book it home for Daisy's vet appointment. Daisy now weighs 37 lbs (she only weighed 12 when we got her) so she is considerably bigger. She is alot calmer now as well and is learning things like to go to her cage at night when shes tired and to scratch the back door to be let out. So thats always nice. Anyway the rest of the day on Saturday we just hung out, nothing much exciting. Then that night I went to a bonfire with some friends and hung out there for a bit. Jordan wasn't feeling too hot so she stayed home and went to bed early.
The next day we went to church and then out to eat with friends from church at a place called DuClaw, it was alright, nothing amazing though. After lunch the girls went shopping and i went home and watched the bears game. Then after Jordan got back we decided to eat dinner and watch a movie as Julie was still shopping. So I went to the store and get some stuff for dinner and we ended up watching Meet The Robinsons, which is a pretty hilarious movie, I gotta say.
On Monday we had a field trip to the Aquarium with our kids from the center. All the kids had to have a parent with them so we didnt really have to watch anyone, we took Caroline as her mom couldnt get off work and it was a pretty fun day. We walked around for a few hrs and saw the dolphin show and such. Then ont he way home we stopped at friendlys and got some french fries and ice cream. Then when we got home I decided I wanted to put on some christmas music and do a puzzle, so thats what we ended up doing for the next couple hrs. Then we ate dinner and then we watched a movie and then jordan put the plugs in my ears (size 2, final ones) and I was pretty stoked about that.
Jordan is doing really well lately, usually sick like one day a week, and not nearly as bad as she was before. Had a doctors appointment and listened to the heartbeat and that was pretty awesome. It was a fast heartbeat, so the doctor said that meant it was maybe gonna be a girl and I told her that in the Lyons family, the guys all have ADHD so a fast heartbeat meant nothing.
Anyway shes starting to thicken out on the sides of her belly which again is another sign that it is a girl. Julie said when your pregnant with a girl your belly and sides all get bigger and you can tell from the back. However when your pregnant with a boy only your front gets bigger, not your sides and its hard to tell from the back. So thinking maybe gonna have a girl, but who knows.
Her appointment for when we find out the sex of the baby is December 11th.

So we head home in 4 days for thanksgiving and we are getting increasingly excited. It will be so nice to see my family and friends and get to be at my house for a few days.
Anywho i Have 2 tests this week and a paper I need to get started on thats due a week after break. So i need to get crack-a-lackin with all that crap.

have a good day guys, love ya all

TGIS

Soo the last few days have been some of the longest ive had in a while. the public schools around here all had school off thursday and friday and so we had a ton more kids at the center then we usually do. On Friday I had the afterschool kids from 7:30 in the morning til 5 at night!! It was a long day, we played war and chess and skip bo and actual war on the playground and all that good stuff. Dont get me wrong it was fun but just a long and tiring day. That brings me to my next point actually and Im adding a chess board to my christmas list. I want a wooden one with wooden pieces, not glass or plastic. It doesnt have to be anything fancy, but i played it a ton yesterday and got the bug.
Last night was my last time bowling. haha ya i know, your wondering how thats possible but I decided last night it wasnt something I wanted to do. The team I was on was made up of three of the quietest people ive ever met. Seriously when I was there for a two hour match, I would sit there and we wouldnt talk at all! Not a little bit or seldomly, NEVER! I would try and get them talking and they would just give me a one word answer and then be quiet again. So all in all it was ridiculously boring. Throw in the fact that I suck at Bowling and it made for a pretty cruddy night. So I decided I didnt want to spend 12 dollars a week to be ticked off you know? So I told them I was done, offered to give the ball back (they said no, keep it, maybe youll join again!) and left. I was stoked I got to keep the ball though, since it is pretty sweet. So anyway now on friday nights I think im gonna go to Sandy cove and hang with Katie and Matt hopefully.

Today were going to seusical the musical at 3 and then heading up to SC right after to watch some office and play ping pong and all that.

Tomorrow after church Im going to barnes and Nobles for a poetry reading by a few of the women in my American Woman Writers class, itll be fun plus il get extra credit so thats awesome! Then il probably just hang the rest of the day and relax.

This week in school I have a meeting with my AWW teacher to discuss my thesis paper ideas. Then I am giving my Informative speech in my speech class on camping which will be nice to be done with that.

Im so stoked about coming home for thanksgiving, im so excited to see my friends and family. It should be a great week. Also my buddy Ben Coston will be in Illinois with his girlfriend and he will be coming to our house that friday for a bonfire and I havent seen him in 2 years so thatll be alot of fun. Not to mention that we will have thanksgiving with my family which is always fun and also we are getting are christmas tree the day after which is a tradition I have yet to miss. So anyway ya Im a little stoked. Also I plan to eat at all my fav illinois restaurants including Mancinos, Cheezers, Green Gables, Avantis and hopefully even maybe Godfathers! Ahhh cant wait.

halloween

so last night/yesterday was a lot of fun. We worked til 6 and then ran home and changed for trunk or treating at the church. Jordan got me a nacho libre outfit at a Halloween store and at first ti sucked (it was like a full body suit with a blue chest with fake muscles but nacho libre didnt have a chest covering, he didnt even have a shirt period) so after a few modifications of my own i was bare chested and ready to go. We went to the trunk or treating, which was fun, and then to a young adult Halloween party. Everyone got a kick out of my costume because, well, it was hilarious. Il post pictures when I get them. Anyway we had alot of fun there, got to catch up with some friends we havent seen in a while due to a busy schedule. Good times.

This weekend we are going to sandy cove to have a cookout/hangout time with our friends matt and katie so that will definetly be fun. We are also going to go see Seusical the Musical at a nearby highschool so thatll be a good time.

Jordan and I have been thinking about what the future holds for us. Whether we both finish school now or I finish school and she works or what. Theres a ridiculous amount of factors to think about and frankly its overcrowding our brains when really we should just be focusing on God and let him make the decision. So ya pray for us that we are faithful in our prayers and that God will show us his plans.

infected ears

so ya i had to take my ear spacers out today cause they were infected. But hopefully with antibiotics and regular cleaning theyll be back to normal in a few days and i can resume the tormenting of them.
Im at the library right now checking all my stuff and im pretty much in an amazing mood. I just got a paper and a test back in my psych class last night and I got an A on one of them and a 88 on the other so i was stoked about that. Ive already worked 24 hrs this week and I still have 2 days left. We bought our plane tickets for christmas yesterday so we will be home the 20-26 of december.

Update on my little buddy dominic, the tumor was cancerous and growing at an alarming rate and so they opted for emergency surgery to remove it. they got out as much fo it as they could but they dont know its a level 2,3 or 4 so they dont know if he needs radiation or chemo or both but theyll find out in a few days. The mom is obviously broken up over it, her name is Nicole and Dominic is only 5 so keep them in your prayers for sure.

Anywho my buddies up at Sandy cove are going to be setting up a weekly guys night to hang and stuff so im stoked about that, still not a wlot of guys around here for me to hang with.

Other than that things are pretty much the same. This weekend Jordan and I are going to go to Traget and do our baby registry I think. Pray for me, haha

Weekend Update

So its been a few days since I last updated and not a lot has happened. For those of you who dont know, I got my first tattoos this last week and there pretty awesome. I got "Man of God" on one wrist and "Integrity on the other- both in hebrew. I like them alot and am contemplating getting anther, maybe the lions family crest or a lion eating an antelope or something.

Last week was a long one, lots of school and worked a ton, but managed to survive. On friday night at Bowling league I bought the cheapest bag and the cheapest shoes they had at the pro shop and let me tell you, there pretty awesome. The bag is blue and red and says "Action Hero" on it, im pretty sure its for little kids but it works fine for me. I bowled terribly, got a 102,140,105. The middle game was good but the other two were terrible. After bowling Jordan and I went home and watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory with Johnny Depp, Man I love that movie!

On Saturday we didnt have anything to do so we just chilled at the house all day. Its been raining a ton here so I took Daisy out on her first walk all the way around our block and she was spalshing in the puddles and all, having a good time. That afternoon/night we watched Caroline, our niece and here and jordan made cookies and jello and played with American Dolls and then we ordered pizza for dinner. After that jordan and I went to Macys because we still had a 30 dollar gift card to there from our wedding. I got a sweater thing and a short sleeve shirt and 2 pairs of jeans. The jeans were originally 43 dollars and I got them for 3.99 a piece!! And they were Levi Strauss Jeans!! How awesome is that? I was pretty stoked cause i never get good deals like that.

On sunday we went to church and then came home and took the dogs out before heading to lunch at Ruby tuesdays. Then we went shopping and came home and chilled for the rest of the evening.
This week Im supposed to work at 7:30 4 of the 5 mornings because a girl who works here was supposed to be going to the bahamas but I guess now shes not going so I only had to work that early today, which is nice.
In the next few weeks of classes I have a speech, a 5 page paper and 3 tests so i need to get cracking on all of that.
This weekend I think we are going to go hang out with my buddy Matt and his wife at sandy cove for a while.

Baby Update
Jordan is doing really well, shes feeling better and better everyday, sometimes not getting sick at all which is always nice. We decided once and for all on the name of the baby
If its a girl- Charley Elizabeth Lyons
If its a boy- McCarthy Isaiah Lyons

We both really liked those names and neither of them are very common so we were excited about that.

Anyway I think thats about it, oh wait no. My buddy from Olivet, TyTy is getting married at the beginning of May, right after graduation and me made me his best man so assuming we dont have a late pregnancy and that Jordan is in good health i wil be flying home for 3 days for that and graduation. So thatll be a lot of fun.

Ok now here are some pics, a few of jordans belly, one of the dog and a few of my tattoos.

sooo

so the last few days have been pretty great. Ive been trying better to keep up with my day to day devos which has been helping tremendously and also ive been working alot which keeps me busy. Over the weekend we went to outback steakhouse on Sunday night because Julie had a gift card from one of her students so that was pretty awesome. Also we ended up not going to my buddies wedding, we both felt terrible friday after work and still didnt feel great on saturday and werent up to a 4 1/2 hr drive. So that was a bummer that we missed that.
I took my speech midterm last week and will hopefully get that back today, Im pretty sure i smoked it so im not too worried about it. Im getting a B or higher in all of my classes luckily so thats awesome.
Im currently int he process of stretching my ears to put in those stud things and man do they hurt. Dont worry family, im not stretching them out to big, just big enough to get the smallest studs in and if i take them out itll take like half a year and theyll go back to normal, so nothing permanent!

Anywho im feeling good today, Jordan woke up feeling great, and things with the dog are going well, aside from her wanting to chew up everything we have. Tonight after work we are going to a restaurant called the olive tree for a co worker who is leaving after this week. So thatll be fun, to go eat out with all of our coworkers.

Uhh I think thats it. Hope everyone is doing well.

Update on Dominique the little boy I asked you all to pray for, the lump they found in his brain does not appear to be cancerous. They rerouted the flow of fluid so it doesnt get backed up behind it and he came home today. That is all I know so far.

Oh ya and this is for dad, I made no bake chocolate cookies the other night and everyone loved them, they turned out freaking awesome!

ahhh boy

soo im sitting in my american women writers class and although it is entertaining, I find myself quickly losing any patience with my far left wing, liberal, feminist, man bashing classmates. At first it was funny, but its getting ridiculous. Lats week our teacher told us to never let our husbands call us pet names like "babe" "sweetie" "honey" or the like, because pet names are an attempt at belittling us and taking away our identity, and if we let our husbands take away our identity by calling us honey we may as well just quit our jobs and become a housewife (the ultimate sin as a woman). Then this week she started class by saying that a study showed that if barbie were a real life person her measurements would be 38-18-28 and the average woman's measurements are 37-29-40 and this is another attempt by Male-America to shame us into losing weight and becoming timid submissive wives. I wanted to reais my hand and say that if the ken doll was lifesize it would still have no penis and does that mean its a way to get men to cut off their junk in order to get a girl who looks like barbie?? Because in my head that makes as much sense as what she said.

Anywho they also argues today about how ignorant and outdated abstinence-based sex education is and how its not practical or ever gonna work or whatever. Ahhh I dont even know what to say, but i think i should say something....

Anyway this week has gone by very fast, tonight i have class and work and then tomorrow work all day (8-6) and then bowling at night and then Jordan and I take off for Virginia for my buddy Matt's wedding. Were helping tape it all and im the announcer at the reception. It should be fun, although im kinda nervous.

Jordan is doing well, and we have an appointment at the beginning of November so I cant wait. It will be nice to see the update, although we got our last bill for the sonogram (200 dollars!!!!!!) and it makes me not wanna do another one! haha not really, but i was surprised that it cost so much.

Prayer requests:
Mike, hes doing better and will maybe be starting out patient therapy within the next month
Julie, lot to do right now and she is getting kinda hectic i think
Jordan and the baby- Pray for continued good health for jordan and for Gods hand in developing our baby
Dominic- A kid in our class at the center who si 5 and they just found a tumor in his brain, they are unsure as of yet what it is or what it means, il keep you updated
Me- Pray that I will be convicted of the areas in my life that are keeping me from God

Alright im out, thanks guys, love you all

Oh ya i know 18 weeks, haha very funny

updation

so its been a while since my last update, youll have to excuse me of that, its been a hectic week. My new schedule for week nights are class tuesday night, bible sudy wednesday night, class thursday night and bowling league friday night.
haha yep im in a bowling league. I went last week for the first time and its "sponsored" or whatever by Mountain Christian Church which is a church in Baltimore. I thoguht that it would be a group of terrible bowlers just having fun but I showed up and I was the ONLY one that didnt have my own ball/shoes/cool wrist guard thingie. So right away I realized I might be the low score on the board. Well I was, I bowled a 135 the first game and the closest score to me was a 185!!! So ya i felt like an idiot.
Awesomely though this guy in the next lane to me saw that I didnt have my own ball and GAVE me one of his. He said he won it in a tournament and didnt need it!! So i took it into the pro shop and got the fingers fitted to me and it cost $8.50!!! Hahaha i was pretty excited to say the least. So anyway that was good, and at the end of the night i found out that everyone had handicaps already programmed in, (one of the girls on my team had a 68!) And that my handicap would go into effect the next week, so i was excited about that because it meant i wasnt as much worse than everyone else as I thought I was.
The weekend was pretty low key, jordan and her mom went shopping and i stayed home and tried to teach myself guitar. Im actually getting pretty good and can already play like 13 songs!! So thats been awesome, ive been playing non stop for the last 4 days and i think I may be rekindling Jordans passion for guitar which is awesome cause shes pretty great.
Anyway school is going well, midterm already and im doing alright in my classes. I have a psych test tonight that is should do alright on hopefully.

Jordan is doing great, I think shes totally through the worst of it which is nice. She is getting her appetite and her sense of humor back and shes also started going to a water aerobics class with her mom and shes loving that which is good.
We decided we are going to find out the sex of the baby as soon as we can, but it doesnt look like we will be able to find out until about 18 months but we do find out we will let everyone know.
Anyway im in clss now and im gonna go i think, il update agin later
also anyone who reads this please get an account (there free) and comment on my blog, its hard writing to in invisible audience and stay motivated!
Anyway im out!

speech!!!!

ahhh so i just got out of my first class and i had an in class writing assignment about Sojourner Truth and why she was traditional and non-traditional for her time period. It was pretty cake but Im not really thinking about that as I am about to give a speech in my public speaking class in about 45 minutes. Its a demonstrative speech on how to make dutch oven peach cobbler and im more than prepared for it, ive given the speech like 10 times at home, but I am still nervous out of my mind. I cant wait for it to be finished because then im basically done with the week. Im only scheduled for about 15 hrs this week because their training someone else and because i asked julie for fewer hrs for this week as I had such a hard school load. I originally had a test planned for thursday in my american women writers class but it just got bumped to next week which is fine by me. So I work today from 4-6, then class til 8:30, then tomorrow I have work from 12:30-2 and then guys movie night at my buddy Nathans house, and then thursday I have class from 8:30-12:30 and then work from 4-6 and then I have nothing on Friday because my sister and mom and best friend Kenny will be here!!!!!!
There flying in thursday night and then mom leaves sunday and kenny and whitney leave tuesday!! Im pretty stoked to say the least, I miss all my family and friends so much!

Anywho this last weekend was pretty cool. On Friday night we hung out with our friends Matt and Katie from camp. We went to Golden Szechuan which is one of the best chinese restaurants Ive ever eaten at, and then we went back home and watched a few episodes of the office. Then Jordan went to bed and Katie left cause she had work early the next morning and Matt and I talked for an hr or so about life and all that stuff. We plan to open a camp one day (Jordan and I) and Matt and katie want to do something like that as well so were hoping to pool our resources and maybe team up for that which would be awesome as they are both really cool people. Matt and Katie are actually getting married this 28th I think and Matt wants me to be the announcer at the reception and mc it or something. so thatll be awesome.
Then on Saturday Jordan and I got up early and went and saw 3 of our kids from the 5 yr old class at the daycare play soccer. It was hilarious and we took Daisy and they were so excited to see us. Kids from other soccer fields would come running off to pet daisy while their games were going on and there coaches would have to yell at them to get back in the game. It was hilarious.
Then we went to our churches Fall Festival which was going on all day saturday and hung around there for a while. Then that night we came home and just chilled out as we were all pretty exhausted.
On sunday after church we went to Ruby Tuesdays with friends of Julie's, Mrs. Phyllis and Mr. Kermit who are freakin hillarious and that was a good time.
Yesterday we had another checkup for Jordan in baltimore and it turns out shes just about 10 and 1/2 weeks along and doing great. She has like a bicarnate uterus which means its split into two and could cause complications but our doctor yesterday told us she wasnt worried about it at all. She said most people dont even know they have that and have many kids just fine. She said if you had to pick a complication to have with anything that was the best one as it usually doesnt make a difference. So that was a huge relief. She also said Jordans weight loss was ok and that shed make up for it in her 2nd trimester, and she gave us the go ahead to fly, saying that flying is totally fine even up intil like the 8th month. Jordan will only be in her 4th or 5th month at christmas so we should hopefully have a go for that. Anyway thats about it I think, they didnt really have any more news. Were scheduled back in about 5 weeks for another checkup and Jordan is feeling really great lately.
Anyway im gonna go over my speech one more time so im out, il update again in a few

boy howdy

So its almost the end of the week and i have to say that I find myself living more and more for the weekend. This week has been pretty nuts on many levels. Work is going alright, although im finding it harder and harder to get out of changing diapers in the toddler room when i work in there. Classes are going well, in my speech class next week im giving a speech on how to make peach cobbler in the dutch oven and Im actually going first in my class because the first speech we gave, the class voted and said mine was the best altogether so I got to choose when I want to go with the next speech and I voted to go first and get it over with. Also in my American women writers class we have an in class writing assignment on tuesday and a test on thursday. So thatll be fun!! I had my first psych test this last week and got a B on it which is totally cool with me since I just wanna get it over with and on my record for having taken it.

Jordan is feeling alot better, shes actually gained a few pounds int he last few days which is awesome. We have a doctors appointment this coming monday to see what we need to be careful with (diet, exercise, travel etc) so thatll be nice. We bought our tickets to come home thanksgiving and we will be there from saturday to saturday so thatll be nice. However were still up int he air for Christmas, we need to wait and hear what the doctor says and figure out work and all that.

We finally gave up hope that we are going to get free wireless from Pop, weve exercised every option and its just not gonna work. So Jordan and I decided were just going to pay the 25 a month and get our own high speed internet. Logan, jordans bro, has a wireless router he no longer needs and so hes gonna ive it to us so thatll be nice.
Anywho today i got class til 12:20 and then work from 3-6 and then class tonight. Then this friday were hanging out with our good friends Matt and Katie and on Saturday I think im sealing all three driveways (our 2 and pop's) and then Jordan and I are working the hayrack ride at the church fall fest from 3-4. Other than that its all up in the air.

Please pray for wisdom and strength for both Jordan and I. And also pray that he would begin to break us down so only he is showing. Thanks guys!

From A Womans Point Of View Part 1

I hear that Nick's updates on how I am feeling through out this pregnancy are quite vague and not quite up to par so I have been requested to give my own update. These days I am sick off and on just about every other day. When I have a sick day I am pretty miserable, today I had a rough morning but as the day has gone on I am feeling some better. On the days that I am sick I am pretty weak and exhausted, however on my rare completely good days I feel pretty good. Also my appetite is pretty minimal, I am looking forward to the second trimester where everything looks good and I can eat as much as I want without getting sick!!! At this point I have lost 12 pounds because of my rude appetite, so you can understand why I can't wait till I can eat whatever I want . As you all know we just got our puppy on Wednesday and she is wonderful! It is really good training for both of us because she likes to wake up at 1am, 4am, and again at 7am! and then we get to get up and be at work by 8:30am! Yes it is exhausting but we are thoroughly enjoying her company. Well thats all I have to say for now because it is time for dinner and tonight I am going to attempt to eat a meal!! Talk to you all soon :-)

Doggy and belly

So here are a few more pics. We took a picture of Jordans belly one month after we found out. She is now about 9 weeks along and is just starting to show. Also we just got our puppy the other night and have a few pics of her Shes just starting to come out of her shell and is running around the house curiously inspecting everything. We have a nighttime routine worked out with her already. We put her in her cage and she sleeps until about 4-5 and then we take her out and let her go to the bathroom and then she sleeps for another few hours in bed with us. So far its working pretty good. Well let you know though.

crying in front of girls

so yesterdays doctors appointment was really just a meeting to get all Jordan's info (insurance and such) and then set up another appt. with her doctor in 2 weeks. So we didnt find anything out but we will know Oct 1st, which is her next appt. After we got out of the appointment I called the lady who we are getting the dog from and asked when was the soonest we could come to get it. Originally we had to wait 8 weeks but since its been 7 and the doctors appointment took us an hour closer to her I thought id call and just see if we could get it then. luckily the dog was big enough to be on her own so she said we could get it then. So we went and picked up the dog, the biggest in her litter so far and took her home!! She is about 4 times bigger than she is in the previous pics, shes grown so much since we saw her. We went to Petsmart and got all her stuff and she is officially moved in with us. She slept soundly in her cage until about 4 in the morning and then she woke us up and after we took her out she got in bed with us. She was very timid yesterday but is already coming out of her shell and being a goofy puppy. Anyway we woke up at 6:30 again when the dog had to go out and just decided to stay up. Im very tired but i think this is Gods way of preparing us for our first baby.

Anywho today in my american women writers class I had to read a poem of my choosing and i read one called "the mother" that is about abortion. I started by saying that when i got my sonogram and saw my babys heart beating it was one of the most amazing moments of my life. Now I had read the poem 4 or 5 times at home and had no problem but unfortunately and for whatever reason I started crying at the first word this time. I cried the whole time and could barely get the last few lines out. The class all applauded and the teacher said that these were the moments that she lived for in her class. I felt like a wuss and wanted to leave and never come back. However I felt alot better being done and everyone told me that I did a good job. so its all good. Today after this class, which ends at 12:30, im going home to let Daisy and Cinder out and then Im taking Daisy to the daycare center to show her off to all the kids and staff. Then Im working from 4-6 and then jordan and I have class from 6:30-9:50.
Tomorrow full work day and then the weekend!! Were not doing anything on saturday and its gonna be great. Im so tired, hope the dog sleeps all night tonight.

heyheyhey

so its Sunday evening and im sitting in Grandmoms living room using her wireless network. Mom (Julie) got home from her missions trip yesterday and had an awesome time. She went with a group from our church on a work and witness program to Arizona. She helped teach the 3rd 4th and 5th graders all week. Jordan and I were in charge of work/school/Mike all week and I must admit it was a long week. Friday was jordans birthday and we ate dinner with Grandmom and Pop and then went to the community colleges production of the musical Chicago. Jordan loves that movie and it was a pretty awesome performance. Then on Saturday we went with our niece Caroline to the county fair at the college and played games and rode rides all day. That was pretty fun.
Pop is still looking into what can be done with the wireless situation but if worse comes to worse Jordan and I will probably just get DSL for our house which is only like 30 a month and it would get used quite a bit.
Anyway back to work tomorrow, lots of drama last week with Julie gone so we will probably have some sort of meeting tomorrow night to straighten all that out. Exciting.
I promise il get some pics up within the next few days.

Jordan is asleep right now, shes not feeling very well at the moment. Good news though, shes gotten used to throwing up already and now encourages it to make herself feel better. So that'll make morning sickness alot easier in the future hopefully. Julie has been giving her a two hour break during the day but that doesnt seem to be working out so she thinks maybe shell just have her come in at 10 instead of 8:30 and she will just work til 6 every day. Thatll still get her 40 hrs in which will keep her full time and keep the free insurance, plus shell get to sleep alittle longer each day which will help tons.
Anywho I think thats about it for now, il update again in a bit. Love you guys

p.s. thanks for all the letters and packages for jordans birthday and for the baby, we appreciate it all.

wireless-less

so anyway we got our wireless in the other day and it definently doesnt work right. Jordans grandfather (pop) got it at his house and the router is liek 180 ft away so he bought a booster for it, which is supposed to make the signal go 3 times further, but it still doesnt reach our house. So hes gonna see if theres something he can do or if we will just need to get DSL at our house, so a few more days on the pics unfortunately. Classes are going well, work sucked this week because Julie was on a missions trip all week and so everyone is working like you do if your boss isnt there. That means that alot of people call in and say they cant come in and Jordan and I end up covering their shifts which sucks a little. Lots of drama when you work with 30 (18-50 yr old) women and you are one of the only 2 guys. So anyway im in class now and its liek 2 1/2 hrs long of this 60 yr old woman talking to us about stuff we already know, bo-ring.

Oh yesterday was mikes bday and he got his van from boyle buick. It can take his wheelchair around and they did a fundraise for it so its totally payed for!! Praise God for that.

anyway il update again soon, hopefully with pics next time

Anyway we will update jordan and the baby often and let you know how general life is going. As soon as our wireless gets put in (tomorrow 9/12) we will put pics on here of us and of the first sonogram we got. Were also getting a new dog in 2 weeks so there will be pics of her soon, actually we have pics of her already so theyll be up probably tomorrow. Anyway things are going well, Jordan feels like crap, has for the last few days. So prayer is much appreciated.
